Heidi Bonesteel, Michele Trout and Jill Hall founded their interior design studio over 20 years ago, and ever since have been recognized as one of America’s most successful residential design teams. Bonesteel Trout Hall is a boutique design firm with a range of capabilities, dedicated to creating beauty for clients. With offices in Pacific Palisades and Newport Beach, the principals offer the local Southern California flair of laid-back glamour to their work, no matter where the client resides, or the project is located, across the United States.

Bonesteel Trout Hall is expert in all creative aspects from conception to installation of both new construction and renovations, collaborating with architects, builders and other trade professionals. The studio sources furnishings from an endless array of unique resources, both domestically and globally, with provenance and budget depending on the requirements of the individual project. The principals are inspired by the clients’ vision first and foremost, and then contribute ideas from their extensive travels, design education, and contemporary arts and culture.

The firm serves a range of client profiles, and has particular experience with the functional needs and design wants of a high-end clientele. Heidi and Michele are the design leads and one of them oversees each design project every step of the way. Partner Jill Hall oversees the practical: the logistics and finances of every project, ensuring that deliverables, timelines and resources are on time and on budget. Each partner operates with characteristic flexibility and resourcefulness in her work, with friendly and transparent communications.
